Who we are
Why Not Him? is a movement for shared responsibility in family planning. It is an initiative created and operated by His Choice Health (“His Choice Health,” “we,” “us”). This policy explains how we collect, use and share information when you visit the Why Not Him? website (the “Site”).
This policy covers the Site only. When you book care on hischoicehealth.com or receive care from His Choice Health, that website’s privacy policy and His Choice Health’s own privacy practices apply instead.
Information we collect
Information you give us. You don’t need to share any personal information to read the Site. We collect information only when you choose to send it, for example when you:
- Take a Healthcare, Employer or Community pledge or request a partner meeting (name, organization, role, city, email, phone and your message)
- Sign up for emails or request materials (name and email)
- Submit a story (your story, your name or initials if you choose, and contact details)
- Email us directly, including through the Site’s pre-written email buttons
Information collected automatically. When you visit, we and our service providers collect basic technical information, such as your browser and device type, general location (city or region, based on your IP address), the pages you view, how you arrived (for example a partner’s link or QR code) and how long you stay. Partner links and QR codes include codes that tell us which partner shared them; they don’t identify you personally.
How we use and share information
We use information to:
- Respond to your requests, pledges and meeting inquiries
- Send materials and emails you asked for (you can unsubscribe at any time)
- Share stories you’ve given us permission to publish
- Understand how the Site is used and which partners and campaigns are reaching people
- Keep the Site secure and working properly
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- His Choice Health staff who run the Why Not Him? initiative
- Service providers that help us operate the Site, such as our website host, form provider, email platform and analytics provider, who may use it only to provide services to us
- Others when required by law, or to protect the rights, safety or security of His Choice Health, our partners or the public
Partner practices, employers and community organizations do not receive information about individual visitors.
Cookies and analytics
The Site uses cookies and similar technologies to work properly and to help us understand how it’s used. We use Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager to measure visits and page views. You can learn how Google uses this data in Google’s Privacy Policy and opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the Site may not work as intended if you do.
Health information and stories
The Site is for education. It isn’t medical advice and isn’t a way to book or receive care. Please don’t send personal medical details through Site forms or email. If you’re a patient or want to discuss your care, contact His Choice Health directly at 866-405-2877.
Story submissions. If you submit a story, we’ll ask for your permission before publishing it. We may edit stories for length or clarity, and we’ll publish them with only your first name or initials unless you tell us otherwise. You can ask us to remove a published story at any time by contacting us below.
Your choices and rights
- Emails: use the unsubscribe link in any email, or contact us.
- Access, correction and deletion: you can ask what personal information we have about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state law. To make a request, contact us below. We won’t treat you differently for making a request.
Children. The Site is intended for adults. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
How long we keep information. We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy, or as required by law.
Security. We use reasonable safeguards to protect information, but no website or online transmission is completely secure.
Other websites, changes and contact
Other websites. The Site links to other websites, including hischoicehealth.com and the Urology Care Foundation’s Find a Urologist directory. Their own privacy policies apply when you visit them.
Changes. We may update this policy from time to time. We’ll post the new version here and change the date at the top.
